Which historical event stands out in your life, and what impact do you believe it has had on you? 2. In what scenarios do you find it easy to walk humbly? What scenarios make walking humbly difficult for you? 3. How would you articulate the difference between “loving the idea of humility” and walking humbly? 4. Read Matthew 18:21-35. Did the servant who was forgiven by the king love mercy or love the idea of mercy? Explain why. Did the king love kindness or love the idea of kindness? How so? 5. How would you define the difference between loving justice and loving the idea of justice? 6. What is the difference between not doing injustice, and actively doing justice? Can you think of a real-life example? 7. If justice will be fulfilled in the future with Christ’s return, what is the point of pursuing justice in this life? 8. Why do you think Micah calls us to act when it comes to justice, but to posturing when it comes to mercy? 9. When it comes to the three commands in Micah 6:8, which do you feel you live out most genuinely? Which of the commands needs the most attention in your life? 10. What are some practical steps that you can take to act justly in your context? Your workplace, neighborhood, family, broader community? Next >
