After you read, take time to journal or reflect on these questions: What does it say? What does it mean? How can I live this out today? On our website, under Publications, you can find online resources for reading through the Bible in one year: westwoodcc.org/publications 1. What would you consider to be the three most valuable things in your life? Explain. 2. What stood out to you from Pastor Zac’s sermon this week as a significant learning? 3. How do you see the values you determined for your life influencing the way in which you live? The things you do? What you spend your money on? How you spend your time? 5. Read Matthew 16:13-14. There were many different claims as to who Jesus was by those who rubbed shoulders with him, but if you were to be asked before this week’s sermon Who is Jesus?, what would you have said? Does your response change based on Pastor Zac’s teaching? How so? 6. Read Romans 5:12-21. What do you observe about this passage? What verses stand out to you significantly? What questions do you have after reading the text? 7. The bible teaches that Jesus was both fully God and fully human, the theological term for this is the hypostatic union.
