Have you ever considered prayer to be a learned practice? 2. What has been the most challenging part of establishing a rhythm of prayer in your life? (Pastor Joel listed common barriers to prayer; frequency, uncertainty, distraction, closeness, answers). 3. Are there any times throughout your normal life that you feel it’s easier to pray than others? Why might that be? 4. Read Luke 11:1-4 out loud. What were the five patterns of prayer Pastor Joel pointed out in this passage? 5. Considering your own prayer life, which of those five patterns is most natural for you to replicate? Which is most unnatural? Why? 6. We’re taught to pray for God’s kingdom to come. Do you think you are prepared to see kingdom changes in your life and around you? Are there any aspects of God’s kingdom coming that might challenge you? 7. Which is more challenging for you to sincerely do; depend on God for daily provision, or offer forgiveness to your enemies?
