When Stay at Home is over, where is the first place that you will go? 2. Pastor Brian talked about a bible that has been a family heirloom and has been treasure. Do you have a family heirloom that is important to you? What is its history and why is it important? 3. The Bible has spoken to people through out history through times of peace and crisis. It is as relevant today as it was when it was written. Do you have a verse that has been helpful to you in this season? Share as a group. 4. Read 1 Corinthians 13 as a group. This may be a familiar passage of scripture and is often heard at weddings. Paul was writing to the people of Corinth that were in crisis and had lost sight and focus of what is most important. Has the current crisis of Covid-19 caused you to lose focus? How? 5. Read 1 Corinthians 13:13 together. This verse talks about the three things that remain: faith, hope and love. We may often look at faith as believing, but it can also be defined as “trust”. How is the word “trust” different from “belief”? 6. To trust in Jesus is an act of salvation. Discuss this statement as it relates to John 3:16. 7.. There is lots of uncertainty now. Each of us has our own unique circumstances of uncertainty. Where are you uncertain? How does faith bring confidence and assurance in uncertainty? How can your group pray for one another as you become uncertain? 8. Read Hebrews 11:1 together as a group. Share with the group how you have seen God working through this crisis. 9. If you do not have faith- TRUST. If you do have faith-RELEASE. Discuss as a group. Where do you land between these two choices, today? 21 Days of Prayer: During the What Remains sermon series we want to encourage you to prayerfully put your trust in Jesus.
