Meeting Students Where They Are At
We believe in meeting students where they are with the same eagerness God has in reaching out to us. Through worship, teaching and small group time, students have fun, explore faith and connect with each other. They are free to ask questions, challenge answers and experience Jesus Christ personally and honestly. New students are welcome at any time during the year! Just visit with one of our welcome volunteers, and they get you registered, show you around and help you get connected.

Middle School Ministry
Students (grades 6–8)
Middle school can be a difficult and confusing time, so we seek to provide a welcoming and safe atmosphere where students can feel accepted and grow in their relationship with Christ. Middle School Ministry provides students with amazing friendships, unforgettable memories and ways to grow their relationship with God. Students experience student-led worship, hear a relevant message and connect in a small group.
Middle School Ministry (Sundays)
Students gather as a large group for Bible-based teaching, have free time to get to hang out with their peers and play games, and break out into small groups to ask questions and dive deeper into the learning.
In this class, students gain a basic understanding of the Christian faith, are challenged in a very personal way to understand what they believe and why and make their faith their own.
High School Ministry
Students (grades 9–12)
High School Ministry is designed to help every student know that they are loved and that they matter to God and to us. We have an exciting and engaging large group program every week followed by lots of time in life-changing small groups. Every student is connected into a group led by amazing adult leaders where they can build relationships, ask questions and grow in their faith.
Student Missions, Camps and Retreats (All Campuses)
Camps and retreats give students an opportunity to step outside of their usual routines and surroundings. It is a place to ask good questions, get to know others, worship, reflect and listen to God’s Word.
On mission trips, students will have an opportunity to fulfill the Great Commission. We are called to go and make disciples of all nations and extend God’s love and mercy to those in need in our own region.
Haiti Mission Trip
Each summer we offer a trip for 11th-12th graders where we work with Westwood’s partners in Haiti. Students put on a youth camp, teach English and assist with building homes for families. This trip expands your student’s view of the world and faith in God.
LA Mission Trip
Each year we offer a trip for 9th and 10th graders where we partner with the Los Angeles Dream center to do missions for a week. Students spend time learning about homelessness, poverty and how our God brings healing and hope.
8th Grade Colorado Trip
All 8th grade students who go through Upper Room can go on this trip the summer after their 8th grade year. This trip is a mission/ adventure trip where they get to experience rock climbing, mountain biking and zip lining and also serve the local church and organizations we partner with in Colorado.
MSM Mission Experience
Each summer, MSM students serve and experience missions in a new way. They help others, experience different lifestyles and cultures, and engage in mission work.
HSM Summer Camp/Fall Retreat
High School Students go to camp twice a year and experience amazing activities, worship and messages. God does incredible things in the lives of our students at camp.
MSM Summer Camp/Fall Retreat
Middle school students go to camp twice a year where there are great activities, high-energy games, memories made, and lots of opportunities for students to grow in their faith!
Westwood Summer Leadership Program (All Campuses)
June 13-August 18, Schedule Determined After Interview and Selection
This program exists to develop students, ages 16-20, in their leadership skills by investing in their personal learning and development, giving them experience in leading in hands-on ministry opportunities and to celebrate what God is doing in and through them along the way.
