Special Families are Special Here
We want all kids to experience God’s love for them in ways they can connect with. We understand the unique needs of families of children with special needs or disabilities. It is a privilege to serve these special kids, so parents worship and participate in community here at Westwood.
At Westwood, we offer:
Guardian Angels, which are one-on-one caregivers for individuals with special needs during our Sunday morning programs. Our Guardian Angels have a unique role and make a deep impact in the lives of kids and families as they partner together to give kids every opportunity possible.
Respite nights are offered throughout the year. Special themed events include games, snacks and fun activities. Parents are invited to drop off all their kids and enjoy a couple of hours to themselves.
At the Chanhassen Campus, we offer:
Merge: a classroom environment offered on Sundays at 9:30am for elementary age students and at 11:00am for older elementary and teens with special needs that is taught by a Special Education professionals and volunteers.
