Backpack Event 2022
The start of the school year brings many new and exciting experiences, but it can also be a challenging time for families. At Westwood, we want to come alongside families in our neighboring schools to help students get the school supplies they need to start the year off strong.
Join us by donating backpacks and school supplies throughout the month of August to any of our Westwood campuses, or by volunteering at the event on August 26 and 27, which will be held at our Chanhassen Campus.
Choose a campus below to find out more information on how you can donate and get involved. If you’d like to volunteer at the event, you can click the link below to sign up.
Thank you for helping children in our communities be ready to learn for the school year!

Bush Lake
We are excited to partner with Oak Point Elementary (part of Eden Prairie Schools) and Kennedy High School and provide school supplies for this upcoming year! Our goal is to pack 12 supply packs per grade (K-5) that can be handed directly to students at their open house. These supply packs can be packed in paper, grocery, or plain tote bags. Oak Point is not requesting any bookbags at this time. We invite you to adopt one (or more) student(s) and purchase all the needed items for that grade. Supplies can be dropped off at the Bush Lake Campus on July 24-August 21.
You can email Chris Aldrich at chris.alrdrich@westwoodcc.org or grab a tag after the service to donate.

Chanhassen
Join Westwood Chanhassen for an in person event where families from District 112 will be able to choose school supplies they need. Love INC school supply event, hosted by Westwood, will take place Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27 in the Woodside Room. Families from the Eastern Carver County schools will be able to “shop” for their school supplies from items donated by Westwood and other area churches, organizations, and individuals. This is an opportunity to show the love of Jesus to families in our area that otherwise may not visit our church. We hope to provide a warm and welcoming experience and provide school supplies to families in need.
You can get involved by serving or donating below!
