Prayer is Our Way Forward

On Sunday, March 19, we focused on recalibrating our priorities and living a generous life. Pastor Joel highlighted our Far Ministry and we heard directly from Josh Freeman - a ministry partner serving in Togo - and Heather Wilford, our Hear, Near, Far Director, who gave an update on Moses, a ministry partner from Southeast Asia. He and his family have visited Westwood before. It was an inspiring service that brought to life stories of some of those we partner with – those who are introducing Jesus, the Light of the World, to some of the darkest places and hurting people in the world.  If you weren’t able to join us, we hope you will take time to watch the service HERE.

In addition to hearing an update about Moses, we did receive praises and prayer requests from him and invite you to join us in lifting his needs to the Lord. In doing so, we get to live out our Westwood Way of Life – To Be and Love like Jesus!

Moses serves as a global ambassador with TTI (The Timothy Initiative) in Southeast Asia. He is married to his wife, Sharon, and they have three children – Elizabeth, Ruth, and Joseph. Their country is currently in the midst of severe political unrest, Moses’ family is scattered with their oldest daughter in college in the US, and they continue to face some major health issues.

Despite these difficult circumstances, they are praising God for His protection, provision, care, and love. They are also grateful for all the ways God is using their family together and individually to spread His Kingdom in Southeast Asia. Beyond what they could imagine, they are making disciples who make disciples, planting churches who plant churches, developing leaders who develop leaders, and they give all praise to Jesus!

Moses has asked for prayer for safety, improved health, guidance, and favor over his family and their work. His/their role requires much international travel, planning, intentional mentoring, and ongoing training. Please pray for his kids as they grow and pursue their different levels of education. Continue to pray God’s blessings on TTI as it partners with and supports Moses and others like him around the world.

Thank you for praying with us! Prayer is our way forward.
