    Fountain5It was a pretty big task: design a sign for Westwood’s entrance that was aesthetically pleasing and inviting, met city requirements for signage, and symbolized some of the attributes of God. Westwood members and owners of The Mustard Seed, Mark and Kay Halla, were up for the task.

  • A Surprising Benefit to Working Behind the Scenes

  • Dave McKinley—Kids' Ministry Spotlight

  • Equipped by God

    lexi2Lexi heard God’s calling a few years ago as she walked out of a Westwood Bible Study. “I felt a nudging from God to get out of my comfort zone and volunteer in a group of middle school girls on Wednesdays nights. It was crazy for me to even have the idea since I have always worked with early childhood-aged children, and I’m a mother of boys! I felt so far out of my element,” she admits.

She was living her regular life when God ignited a passion within her. While she was in India visiting family, Rachel said she saw first-hand the vulnerability of people there. “I saw the need, and I saw the work the local International Justice Mission field office (IJM) was doing to bring healing and hope.”

You see, at Christmas, we celebrate God giving us the greatest gift of all—His son Jesus. And this gift of a baby born in a stable long ago, was given by God with the knowledge that it would be given away. That this precious baby would grow to be a man who would die on the cross for all of us.
