The HOPE Poverty Simulation is a 2 1/2 - hour, immersive, experiential learning opportunity designed to help participants catch a glimpse into the realities of a lifetime spent living in extreme poverty. Over the course of the simulation, you will be confronted with a series of challenges that mimic the complex, everyday realities that men and women living in poverty are forced to grapple with. This experience will benefit anyone interested in learning more about engaging in global need.

Participants will enjoy their experience the most if they arrive wearing machine washable clothing suitable for sitting on the ground and closed toed shoes. The simulation is appropriate for ages 14+.

Lent Services
Wednesday Evenings, March 6–April 10, 6:00-6:30pm

Lent 2019 - Recalibrate

Every year, millions of Christians around the world draw near to Jesus by observing Lent in preparation for Easter.  Lent is the 40-day period from Ash Wednesday to Easter when Christ-followers focus on spiritual renewal–a time when we intentionally prepare to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Lent provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our own life and recalibrate faith–to examine our sin in light of God’s holiness; our lives in light of God’s love; and our merit in light of God’s mercy.

Lent Services begin with Ash Wednesday on March 6, and continue each Wednesday through April 10 at all campuses. All services are from 6:00-6:30pm with an additional service at Chanhassen on Ash Wednesday at 7:30pm. Topics will include Godly Sorrow, Authentic Worship, Meaningful Prayer and Stewardship of Life. Kids programs, birth-age 5, are available for Ash Wednesday only.
