We have rented the picnic shelter to enjoy a church picnic afterwards so be sure to invite your friends and family  Bring your picnic lunch and we'll be in charge of the grill!

Baptism classes are available for adults and students age 15+ who wish to be baptized on Sunday, September 9. You need to only attend one session.


Baptism Class for Kids & Middle School Students (Age 9-14), Chanhassen Campus
Sunday, August 26 and Sept 9 at 9:30am, or Tuesday, August 28 at 6:30pm, Room A112 at Chanhassen Campus

Baptism classes are available for kids age 9-14 who wish to be baptized on Sunday, September 9. The class will be followed with an appointment to share their testimony with a Next Gen pastor prior to baptism. At least one parent is encouraged to attend with their child.


Bush Lake Woodside Worship

Beginning Sunday, July 15, those interested in the new Bush Lake Campus are invited to join us at the 11:00am worship service in the Woodside Room. This is a great way to connect with others in community.


Care with the Love of Jesus Christ
Tuesdays, Sept 11- Oct 16, 6:30–8:30pm, Room B118 at Chanhassen Campus

Discover effective ways to carry the love of Christ into painful circumstances at home or work. This six-week interactive training explores God's call to care and how to recognize and respond to the hurting people we encounter everyday. Topics include: listening, feelings, boundaries, grief and loss, and prayer. 


Child Dedication Information Class

Babies bring so much joy to the life of a family and, whether through birth or adoption, the arrival of a little one is certainly cause to celebrate! Here at Westwood we love to take the opportunity in worship services to welcome, pray for and offer thanks to God for the life of a child through Child Dedication.Parents who are dedicating children for the first time at Westwood are strongly encouraged to attend this one-time, one-hour informational class that helps explain what Child Dedication is in our setting.

Fourth Sunday of Each Month

At Westwood, Child Dedication happens during regular worship services, generally on the fourth Sunday of each month. This is a formal, special way to give thanks to God for the precious gifts of a child He has bestowed upon us.

New Team Seeks to Serve the Vision for Evangelism at Westwood.

Do you have a heart for sharing your faith or would you like to grow in this area?   We have a number of Westwood attenders who are passionate about communicating Christ’s love in public and in personal situations.  Several have come together to form a leadership team in this area to serve our fellowship and better equip us to reach out at home, in our neighborhood, at school or work or wherever we might be.  If you would like to learn from those who are doing it, our team would love to hear from you.

GriefShare
Mondays, October 1–November 26, 7:00–8:30pm, Room A205 at Chanhassen Campus

Grief isn’t meant to be experienced alone. Join us for a Christ-centered support group for individuals experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. The start each meeting includes a video teaching and discussion. We’ll then separate into a small group that identifies your specific type of loss (parent, spouse, child or friend) and offer personal reflection, group interaction and encouragement to one another. Group Connect

Whether you are new to this small group thing or have been a part of groups in the past, we want to help you on your way. Group Connect is a gathering where you can meet people in your same life stage or part of town, and form common ground to start a small group. We will have some breakfast, laugh while we play a few games and get to know each other on a deeper level. You will leave with information on how your group will operate after that. Childcare will be available.


HSM Goes Hunting

You’re never too old for a scavenger hunt! You and your small group will go throughout Chanhassen and surrounding cities looking for specific places, people or things in order to win an awesome prize. Special guests will make appearances, and a small group will be named Hunting Champions of the world. Don’t miss out!


HSM Wednesdays - High School Ministry (Grades 10-12)
Wednesdays, September 12–May 15, 8:00–9:30pm, Woodside Room at Chanhassen Campus

Life is a journey, and students in grades 9-12 are beginning to understand what that means. Some may desire to grow in their relationships with Jesus, others are just trying to figure out who God is and wonder if faith is real. Regardless of where they may find themselves, they are welcome at High School Ministry. Students are taught, challenged and encouraged through dynamic large group experiences and intimate small group time.

Join us for Launch! Come and enjoy family-friendly activities, games and experiences. Grab your Launch Kit filled with tools and tips that will strengthen you as your kids primary guide along their faith journey. Life Transformed: Learning to Live Like Jesus

Join us for a 7-week journey seeking to understand your unique gifts, spiritual gifts, personality types, values and passions that God has placed within your heart.


Marriage Course
Mondays, October 1-November 12, 6:30-8:30pm at The Outpost Center

The Marriage Course will help you strengthen your marriage.Topics covered include: Recognizing each other’s needs, learning to communicate effectively, resolving conflict, healing past hurts, knowing how to make each other feel loved, the impact of family past and present, good sex, making time for each other and having fun together. There is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship to anyone else.


Medical and Dental Missions Roundtable

Become a member of Westwood. Membership has many benefits including being able to share your voice on key issues regarding the church. You will learn about values, mission and beliefs of the church and get all your questions answered from leaders and staff.

Starting on May 27th, Westwood Minnetonka will be moving to their summer schedule.  There will be one service on Sundays at 10:00am.


Moms Connect Morning - Fall 2018-Spring 2019
Every Other Friday, September 21-May 10, 9:30-11:30am, Room A112 at Chanhassen Campus

Moms Connect brings mothers of school age kids (K-12) together as a community that can share, laugh and go through life as a mom. We are focused on topics that strengthen our hearts and build relationships. Registration will open in early August.

MOPS Evening (Mothers of Preschoolers)
One Thursday per month, October 11-May 9, 6:30–8:30pm, Room A112 at Chanhassen Campus

MOPS Evening is a gathering for women who have children birth-age 5. We meet approximately monthly Oct-May, Thursday evenings 6:30-8:30pm for encouragement, topical conversation, prayer and community. Childcare is not provided. Registration opens early August. Scholarships available.

MOPS Morning (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Every other Thursday, September 13–May 9, 9:30–11:30am, Room A112 at Chanhassen Campus

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is open to moms who have at least one child age 5 and younger. We celebrate motherhood by encouraging one another, learning from relevant speakers and connecting in friendship within a small group. Raising kids is beautiful and hard, we need others to journey within it. Childcare is available at an additional fee.

Registration opens early August. Scholarships available.

MSM Summer Fun Day

Middle School Ministry from Chanhassen and Minnetonka campuses will spend the afternoon together playing games, swimming in Lake Minnetonka, soaking up the sunshine and eating. Drop off and pick up at the Excelsior Commons (135 Lake St, Excelsior, MN 55331).


MSM Wednesdays - Middle School Ministry (Grades 6–8)
Wednesdays, September 12-May15, 6:45-8:00pm, Woodside Room at Chanhassen Campus

Middle School Ministry (MSM) is for students grades 6-8. Students have fun and make great friends through large group and small group time. They are free to ask questions, challenge answers and experience Jesus Christ personally and honestly. And, they have a lot of fun!


Singles 40s to 60s, Kayaking/Canoeing the St. Croix River and Picnic
Saturday, August 25, 10:00am-4:00pm

Come join us for a day of fun in the sun!  We'll go out to Taylor's Falls area (TBD) to kayak or canoe a 3-hour trip and stop along the way to picnic and play. Bring your squirt guns and water toys, your own lunch and non-alcoholic beverages. Email us to let us know you're coming for more details.


Small Group Leader Training

God created us to be in relationship with each other. Great things happen in genuine Christian friendship. We are encouraged, supported, challenged, and so much more. If you sense God prompting you to lead this kind of community, we have training available online that will help you prepare.  After you complete the training, you will be provided with coaching from our Small Group Ministry Team to walk alongside you and answer any questions you may have about leading a small group.

Student Ministry Parent Meeting

We will have new Launch Kits for the year filled with tools and tips to strengthen you as your students’ primary guide on their faith journey. 

Launch is an event in the fall that kicks of the school year with fun and excitement for our Student Ministries and for families at home!  Launch is also a philosophy and a desire to connect church and home. At this Parent Meeting you will receive resources that will help kick off a year of growing together in faith as a family. Instilling a lifelong faith in Jesus doesn’t happen just through spending an hour a week at church. Parents are the greatest influence in a child’s life. So, let’s combine two great influences and form and even stronger team. Together we can help kids grow in their faith, connect with their peers, find caring adults who are there to help answer life’s tough questions and equip parents to lead in faith at home.

Upper Room (Grades 8 & 9)
Sundays, October 14–April 14, 8:00–9:30pm at Chanhassen Campus

Our 8th and 9th grade students will spend the year gaining a basic understanding of the Christian faith, being challenged in a very personal way to understand what they believe and why and making their faith their own. It’s a year of fun experiences and spiritual growth as they embark on a journey of deeper life and faith in Jesus. 

We will meet twice per month, October 14 through April 14, on Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm.

If hearing God has seemed challenging, we invite you to explore a more intimate relationship with Him, one that can make hearing Him - His will, His heart, and His voice - your ongoing experience. Join us, and discover how you can listen with greater confidence, clarity, and discernment. This study by Priscilla Shirer has been updated and substantially expanded, with daily opportunities to understand the Holy Spirit's role in your life.

Wednesday Morning Childcare
A childcare program is offered for children, birth through age 3, of women participating in Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. The mission of the program is to provide loving, quality care and biblical teaching for children in a secure, Christ-centered environment. Each child must be registered online by Sept 19. Childcare space is limited and fills quickly. Cost: $30 per child. Childcare fees are non-refundable.

Come join us for a delightful women’s 5 week summer study of our Apostle Paul’s First letter to the Corinthians called, First Corinthians Living Love When We Disagree by Melissa Spoelstra (Ps. wife, mother, author) about conflict and divisions. We’ll learn what the Bible says about handling differences with humility and grace while always showing the love of Jesus Christ. Sign-up starts 4/16.
