10 Minute Party! (grades 9–12)
Sundays, following the 11:00 service, Chanhassen Campus

All high school students (incoming 9th-12th grade) are invited to join Kari and other Upper Room students/leaders at the 11:00am service. We sit in the back of the Worship Center, behind the sound booth and stay after for the “10 Minute Party” to discuss the message and how it applies to our life. Sit with us in the service or just join us for the party after. There will be no meeting on July 2.


Adoptive Moms - Coffee & Connect
Second Thursdays, June 30–December 15, 7:00 –8:00pm, Room A205

If you are an adoptive mom or going through the process of adoption, this group is for you! We’ll get to know each other over coffee or tea and share a short devotion. This group will meet once a month, but there’s no requirement to come every month. Contact Kim to register.


Child Dedication Service
Fourth Sunday of each month

At Westwood, Child Dedication happens during regular worship services, generally on the fourth Sunday of each month. This is a formal, special way to give thanks to God for the precious gifts of a child He has bestowed upon us.


Choir at Westwood
Wednesdays, October 11–December 7, 6:30–8:20pm, Worship Center

Rehearsals for the Westwood Choir and Orchestra are Wednesdays, October 11–December 7, 6:30-8:20pm. Additional dates include November 16, December 5 and December 7. All rehearsals are in preparation for the Sounds of Christmas Concerts, December 8 and 9. Registration is open for anyone over 16 years of age.


Group Connect
Saturday, October 28, 9:00am–11:30am, Woodside Room

Whether you are new to this small group thing or have been a part of groups in the past, we want to help you on your way. Group Connect is a gathering where you can meet people in your same life stage or part of town, and form common ground to start a small group. We will have some breakfast, laugh while we play a few games and get to know each other on a deeper level. You will leave with information on how your group will operate after that. Childcare will be available.


High School Ministry (Grades 10-12)

Life is a journey, and students in grades 10-12 are beginning to understand what that means. Some may desire to grow in their relationships with Jesus, others are just trying to figure out who God is and wonder if faith is real. Regardless of where they may find themselves, they are welcome at HSM. Students are taught, challenged and encouraged through dynamic large group experiences and intimate small group time.


High School Ministry Escape
Wednesday, November 22 at Escape MSP

Join us at 6:45pm at Escape MSP, located at 701 Decatur Ave. N, in Minneapolis. Clocks, locks and secret passages…our group is locked in a room with two goals; collect the hidden asset and escape the room before time runs out! To complete your mission you will need your wits, teamwork & a lot of critical thinking. 


Kids Creative Arts - Christmas Choir
Sunday afternoons, September 10–December 10, 4:00pm, Room A112

Elementary kids & students (Grades 3–12) will prepare 3-4 musical selections to sing as a group during Westwood Choir and Orchestra Christmas Concert on December 8 & 9.


Kids Creative Arts–Elementary Programs

Throughout the fall, Westwood Kids Creative Arts (K–Grade 12) will be preparing for Christmas. New this year is the Skits and Worship team that will help with Sunday Morning programs. If your child loves singing, dancing or acting, our Music and Arts programs are for them.


Kids Ministry Family Bowling
Saturday November 4, 3:00-5:00pm

Families, come join other Westwood families at Country Club Lanes in Excelsior for an afternoon of bowling! Bring $3.00 per person for unlimited games and shoe rental. Snacks are available for purchase from the bowling alley. 


Let's Talk About Technology Parenting Seminar
Sunday, October 22, 4:30-6:00pm, Room A112

Dave Eisenmann will join us to share ideas on how to help navigate technology with your kids and family. Dave is a recognized expert and speaker on cyber and internet safety issues, digital citizenship and relationships with technology. Childcare birth–5th grade is available. Hosted on the Chanhassen campus.

Marriage Course
Mondays, October 2-November 13, 6:30-8:30pm, The Outpost Center

The Marriage Course gives married couples the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Over seven evenings spent together, couples talk with each other about issues that are often avoided in the rush of daily life. Men's Bible Study
Tuesdays, September 19–October 31, 7:00-8:30PM, Room B100

Join us for a study on Joseph, an epic story of a boy becoming a man and dreams coming true in the most unexpected ways. The study will include a video lesson, discussion and weekly questions.


Middle School Ministry (Grades 6–8)

Middle School Ministry, 'MSM', is for students grades 6–8. Students have fun and make great friends through large group and small group time. They are free to ask questions, challenge answers and experience Jesus Christ personally. And, we have a lot of fun! 


Middle School Ministry Fall Night of Fun
Friday, October 27, 6:30-9:30pm, A111 Chanhassen campus

Middle school students (grades 6-8) invite a friend and join us for a night filled with fun games and activities. We will have pizza and pop, too!


MIddle School Ministry MTK Sky Zone
Wednesday, October 18, 5:30–8:30pm

Come on out to Sky Zone in Plymouth for a fun night of jumping! Parents will need to sign a waver online ahead of time or can sign a waiver when they drop off their students at 5:30pm. Feel free to bring extra money for any snacks. Pick up is at 8:00pm at Sky Zone. Registration opens soon.                                  


Middle School Ministry Roller Garden
Wednesday, October 18, 5:30–8:30pm

Middle school students are heading by bus to Roller Garden in St Louis Park for fun evening of roller skating. Students can bring their own inline or roller skates, or rent them for an additional $3. Bring money for snacks.


Middle School Sunday Ministry (Grades 6-8)
Sundays, 11:00am-12:00pm, Room A111, Chanhassen Campus

Middle school students are welcome to join us for games, mixers, discussion groups and fun. Our message each week is based on the sermon message.


Mission Trip to Thailand
January 2018

This ministry trip will serve missionaries by caring for their children so they can attend their yearly growth and refreshment conference. This is an excellent way to become introduced to a Westwood mission trip as well as bless missionaries who are on retreat from difficult ministry assignments all over Asia.


Mission Trip to the Middle East
Fall 2017

The Middle East Ministry Team and the Medical Missions Team are partnering again to organize a trip to the Middle East in the Fall of 2017. We are forming a Traveling Team and a Home Team to help refugees with their medical and spiritual needs.


Moms Connect Fall 2017-Spring 2018
Every Other Friday, September 22-May 18, 2018, 9:30-11:30am, Room A111

Moms Connect brings mothers of school age kids (K-12) together as a community that can share, laugh and go through life as a mom. We are focused on topics that strengthen our hearts and build relationships. This year we will be finding ways to make lemonade out of the lemons. 


Monday Night Prayer Gathering
Mondays, 6:00–7:00pm, Woodside Family Room

Would you like someone to pray for you? Westwood Prayer Team members are available to pray with individuals from 6:00–7:00pm every Monday night (except Holidays or when the building is closed). Everyone is welcome.


MOPS Evening (Mothers of Preschoolers)
One Thursday per month, October 5-May 10, 6:30–8:30pm, Room A112, at Chanhassen Campus

MOPS is open to moms who have at least one child age 5 or younger. At MOPS, we celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard. That’s why we connect moms to a community of women to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom.
Childcare is not available. Registration opens noon August 21 online. Scholarships available.

MOPS Morning (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Every other Thursday, September 14–May 17, 9:30–11:30am, Room A112 at Chanhassen Campus

MOPS is open to moms who have at least one child age 5 or younger. At MOPS, we celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard. We are currently taking names to be placed on a wait list. Contact Julie Slater to be placed on the wait list.

Orchestra at Westwood

Rehearsals for the Westwood Choir and Orchestra are Wednesdays, October 11–December 7, 6:30-8:20pm. Additional dates include November 16, December 5 and December 7. Prayer Shawl Ministry
Monday, September 18, 7:00–8:30pm, Upper Level Link

Our Prayer Shawl Ministry gathers on the third Monday of the month to knit, crotchet, pray and visit. We make shawls for the pastors, prayer teams and individuals to gift to people who are need of comfort. Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you can knit and crotchet, or if you want to learn how. Yarn is provided. Please bring size 13 or 15 knitting needles or size N-13 or P-15 crotchet hook.


Singles 40s-60s DVD & Book Study—Real Relationships
Sundays, September 10–October 22, 6:30-8:30 pm, Room A111 Chanhassen campus

In this study, we'll dig below the surface to the depths of human interactions and get advice and practical tools for improving relationships. We'll share a meal together first and then break out into small groups. Books and workbook materials will be handed out on the first night of the study. If you like, join us first for the 5:00pm service. We sit on the right side tiered seats, second row up, near the center.


Singles 40s-60s DVD Study—Jesus Revealed
Sundays, October 29–December 17, 6:30-8:30 pm, Room A111 Chanhassen campus

Come join us for the 5:00pm service and then stay for our DVD study and dinner. In Jesus Revealed DVD study, it's time to encounter the authentic Jesus!  We'll start the evening with a shared meal then break into small groups (which we'll be with throughout the study) to watch the DVD and discuss the questions. It's a great way to build community, your faith and start your week!


Singles 40s-60s Feed My Starving Children and Dinner
Saturday, November 18, 5:30–9:00pm

Join us for dinner at 5:30pm at Houlihan's in Chanhassen (at your own cost) and then head over to Feed My Starving Children to pack meals from 7:00-9:00pm. Singles 40s-60s, Scavenger Hunt at MOA and Dining Out
Saturday, October 21, 6:00-10:00pm, Mall of America

Come join us for a fun evening at the Mall of America. We'll dine at one of the restaurants and split up into teams for a scavenger hunt. We'll look for clues and then meet back up at the end to determine the winning team. Let us know you are coming by email and we'll share the spot to meet.

Transformational Leadership: Foundations

Grow in your leadership skills, both inside Westwood and outside. Formerly called Passport to leadership, this class is led by Westwood leaders.  You will learn the 4R biblical model of leadership, a practical transformational leadership philosophy that can transform your teams. This class is brought to you by the Wellspring Transformational Leadership Team.


Upper Room (Grade 9) Chanhassen Campus
Wednesdays, September 13–May 9, 8:00–9:30pm, Room A111

Upper Room is a place for 9th graders to belong, have fun and grow deeper in their faith. Students spend the year gaining a basic understanding of the Christian faith, being challenged in a very personal way to understand what they believe and why, and making their faith their own. It’s a year of fun experiences and spiritual growth as they embark on a journey of deeper life and faith in Jesus.


Upper Room Whirleyball (Grade 9)

Upper Room students are heading to Whirlyball Twin Cities. You won't want to miss this day of fun and competition unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Women's Bible Study, Fall 2017 (AM)

This study on the Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin offers us the opportunity to come and learn from Jesus, just as his disciples did. As Jesus utters some to he most familiar passages in all of Scripture, we'll be challenged to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We will study Scripture with three levels of understanding: comprehension, interpretation and application.
Tuesday Morning Childcare
A childcare program is offered for children age birth through Kindergarten, to women participating in Bible Study on Tuesday morning. The mission of the program is to provide loving, quality care and biblical teaching for children in a secure, Christ-centered environment. Each child must be registered online Cost:  $30 per child. Childcare fees are non-refundable.

Singer, songwriter and speaker Jennifer Alexander will be our special guest. Come serve with us! This is a great short-term serving commitment.
