10 Minute Party! (grades 9–12)
Sundays, following the 11:00 service, Chanhassen Campus

All high school students (incoming 9th-12th grade) are invited to join Kari and other Upper Room students/leaders at the 11:00am service. We sit in the back of the Worship Center, behind the sound booth and stay after for the “10 Minute Party” to discuss the message and how it applies to our life. Sit with us in the service or just join us for the party after. Students will not meet on November 26, December 24 and 31, and April 1, 2018.


Child Dedication Service
Fourth Sunday of each month, 9:30-10:30am, Room A206

At Westwood, Child Dedication happens during regular worship services, generally on the fourth Sunday of each month. This is a formal, special way to give thanks to God for the precious gifts of a child He has bestowed upon us.

Financial Peace University
Tuesdays, January 16–March 13, 6:30–8:30pm, Room A112

Taught by Dave Ramsey on video and led by Westwood's financial ministry leaders, this class will help you achieve your financial goals by showing you how to spend wisely, make financial decisions together, eliminate debt, save for the future, and give like never before.  You will enjoy the journey and experience the peace of following Christ in your financial life.


GriefShare
Mondays,January 29–March 26, 7:00–8:30pm, Room A205 Chanhassen campus

Grief isn’t meant to be experienced alone. Join us for a Christ-centered support group for individuals experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. The start each meeting includes a video teaching and discussion. We’ll then separate into a small group that identifies your specific type of loss (parent, spouse, child or friend) and offer personal reflection, group interaction and encouragement to one another. Group Connect
Saturday, January 27, 9:00am–11:30am, Woodside Room

Group Connect is a gathering where you can meet people in your same life stage or part of town and form connections to start a small group. We will have some breakfast, laugh while we play a few games and get to know each other. You will leave with information on how your group will operate after that. Register for childcare.


High School Ministry (Grades 10-12)

Life is a journey, and students in grades 10-12 are beginning to understand what that means. Some may desire to grow in their relationships with Jesus, others are just trying to figure out who God is and wonder if faith is real. Regardless of where they may find themselves, they are welcome at HSM. Students are taught, challenged and encouraged through dynamic large group experiences and intimate small group time.


High School Ministry Lock In
Friday, February 2 at 7pm–Saturday, February 3 at 7am

High schoolers, join us for an all night lock in. We will begin the night by joining other high school ministries for a dodgeball tournament. We will then transform the church into a movie theater. We will have video games, competitions, caffeine and lots of fun. This is a GREAT event to invite your friends to.

The event begins at Minnetonka High School from 7:00-10:00pm then we will be at
Westwood Community Church from10:00pm-7:00am.


High School Ministry Sledding Night
Monday, January 15, 7:00-9:00pm, Staring Lake Park

High School Ministry will be joining other high school ministries in the area for a night of sledding and other outdoor fun. We’ll provide the hot cocoa. You bring the sled!.


Launching Well (Grade 12)
Begins Sunday, January 7, 12:15-1:45pm, Room A205

As high school seniors approach their next step in life, Westwood wants to equip them in practical ways to be successful, confident and wise. Guest speakers include church leaders and community leaders. Topics include what to expect in college, leadership, relationships, finances, conflict resolution and game-changing habits. Lunch will be provided. We will meet January 7 and 28, February 4 and 25, March 4 and 18, April 8 and 22.


Life Transformed
Sundays, January 7–28, 10:30am–noon, A205

Life Transformed is a brand new, four week experience that will equip you, encourage you and challenge you to grow in your faith. It will also be a catalyst to help you get involved at Westwood. If you have not yet taken a step of involvement beyond worshiping on Sunday, or if you’re looking for a new start, Life Transformed is for you.Romans 12:2 is our foundation: Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Join us to discover what living a Life Transformed is all about!

LifeKeys: Discover Who You Are
Tuesdays, January 16–February 20, 6:30–8:30pm, Room B102, Chanhassen Campus

No matter where you are along life's journey, it's never too early or too late to understand who are in God's eyes. Join us for a six-week journey seeking to understand your unique gifts, spiritual gifts, personality type, values and passions that God has placed within your heart. 


Marriage Course
Mondays, January 8-February 26, 6:30-8:30pm, The Outpost Center

The Marriage Course gives married couples practical tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Couples talk with each other about issues that are often avoided in the rush of daily life. Topics include: resolving conflict, healing past hurts, knowing how to make each other feel loved, and good sex. There is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship. Come to Information Night to learn more: Monday, January 8.


Membership Seminar

Become a member of Westwood. Membership has many benefits including being able to share your voice on key issues regarding the church. You will learn about values, mission and beliefs of the church and get all your questions answered from leaders and staff.


Men's Bible Study–Winter 2018
Tuesdays, January 23–March 13, 7:00-8:30PM, Room B100

Join us in this study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. In a world that hates Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a fierce love. There will be eight sessions which will include group discussion, video teaching and small group breakouts. Each will include questions and a weekly handout. Contact Doug to register.


Middle School Ministry (Grades 6–8)

Middle School Ministry, 'MSM', is for students grades 6–8. Students have fun and make great friends through large group and small group time. They are free to ask questions, challenge answers and experience Jesus Christ personally. And, we have a lot of fun! 


Middle School Ministry Winter Hangout
Friday, January 5, 6:30-9:00pm, The Intersection, Chanhassen campus

Middle School Students come together for a night of fun at Westwood Chanhassen. There will be tons of activities. We will have pizza and pop available to refuel the students. Everybody bring a friend! 


Middle School Sunday Ministry (Grades 6-8)
Sundays, 11:00am-12:00pm, Room A111, Chanhassen Campus

Middle school students are welcome to join us for games, mixers, discussion groups and fun. Our message each week is based on the sermon message.


Mission Trip to Thailand
January 2018

This ministry trip will serve missionaries by caring for their children so they can attend their yearly growth and refreshment conference. This is an excellent way to become introduced to a Westwood mission trip as well as bless missionaries who are on retreat from difficult ministry assignments all over Asia.


Mission Trip to the Middle East
Spring 2018

The Middle East Ministry Team and the Medical Missions Team are partnering again to organize a trip to the Middle East in the Spring of 2018. We are forming a Traveling Team and a Home Team to help refugees with their medical and spiritual needs.


Moms Connect Fall 2017-Spring 2018
Every Other Friday, September 22-May 18, 2018, 9:30-11:30am, Room A111

Moms Connect brings mothers of school age kids (K-12) together as a community that can share, laugh and go through life as a mom. We are focused on topics that strengthen our hearts and build relationships. This year we will be finding ways to make lemonade out of the lemons. 


Monday Night Prayer Gathering

Would you like someone to pray for you? Westwood Prayer Team members are available to pray with individuals from 6:00–7:00pm every Monday night (except Holidays or when the building is closed). Everyone is welcome.


MOPS Evening (Mothers of Preschoolers)
One Thursday per month, October 5-May 10, 6:30–8:30pm, Room A112, at Chanhassen Campus

MOPS is open to moms who have at least one child age 5 or younger. At MOPS, we celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard. That’s why we connect moms to a community of women to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom.

MOPS is open to moms who have at least one child age 5 or younger. At MOPS, we celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard. We are currently taking names to be placed on a wait list. Contact Julie Slater to be placed on the wait list.

Singles 40s-60s Late Winter DVD Study
Sundays, February 25–March 25, 6:30-8:30pm, Room A111 Chanhassen campus

The Late Winter DVD Study is a study by Max Lucado called Grace: More than We Deserve, Greater than We Imagine. Come to the 5:00pm service and then stay for our DVD study and dinner. We'll begin the first night by watching the movie "Grace Card." Pizza and popcorn are provided. Remaining weeks we will have a shared meal, then break into small groups (which we stay with throughout the study) to watch the DVD and discuss the questions.


Singles 40s-60s, Winter 2018 DVD Study
Sundays, January 7-February 18, 6:30-8:30pm, A111, Chanhassen campus

What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good. Join us for the 5:00pm service, and then stay for our DVD study You'll Get Through This: Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times by Max Lucado.and dinner. After the meal, we break into small groups to watch the DVD and discuss the questions. It's a great way to build community, your faith and start your week!  No study February 4.

Upper Room (Grade 9) Chanhassen Campus
Wednesdays, September 13–May 9, 8:00–9:30pm, Room A111

Upper Room is a place for 9th graders to belong, have fun and grow deeper in their faith. Students spend the year gaining a basic understanding of the Christian faith, being challenged in a very personal way to understand what they believe and why, and making their faith their own. It’s a year of fun experiences and spiritual growth as they embark on a journey of deeper life and faith in Jesus.


Upper Room Mini Golf & Pizza (Grade 9)

Join us for pizza and mini golf with your Upper Room family. We'll have fun at the indoor miniature putt course, Golf Zone, located at 825 Flying Cloud Drive in Chaska.

Because in this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.

Tuesday Morning Childcare  
A childcare program is offered for children age birth through Kindergarten, to women participating in Bible Study on Tuesday morning. Each child must be registered online by the January 23 deadline. Childcare space is limited and fills quickly. Cost: $30 per child. Childcare fees are non-refundable.
