Making Sense of Creation & Evolution. is a compelling next step after the FaithSearch Discovery class being held right after Easter. In this class Don has chosen a few major themes on which to focus: Understanding Origins, Understanding Intelligent Design, Understanding Macroevolution, Understanding Biblical Creation, and How to Know the Creator. As a Ph.D. biologist, Dr. Bierle uses current scientific evidence to unravel creation, evolution and the meaning of life. This lively and enlightening class strips off the hype and takes a scientific approach to the evidence. Stimulating and challenging, FaithSearch Origins is ideal for students, teachers, pastors and parents.
Westwood is sponsoring “The Garden of New Beginnings” to bless individuals and families in need in our community. Beginning on Sunday, April 19, stop by the lower level link to pick up a flower, indicating an item needed. Drop off purchased items by Sunday, May 3. Westwood is not able to accept cash/check donations for this project. If you would like to volunteer to hand out the flowers on a Sunday or to sort the donated items on Thursday, May 7, please contact Vicki Stahlke.
