Teleios
A Ministry for Adults 50+

Learn more
Teleios is a Greek word that means complete in all its parts, of full age, especially of the completeness of Christian character. The root word “tel” means reaching the end. Imagine a sailor’s tel-escope extending out, one stage at a time to function at full-strength, capacity and effectiveness.

The vision of Teleios is to release the time, treasure and talent of Adults 50+ so that they may be a blessing in their spheres of influence.

Small Group
One of the best ways to get connected here is to get involved in a small group. Small groups allow you to learn, grow in relationship with each other, and have fun while doing it. Westwood offers many small groups depending on your life stage and your needs. One small group is called College Godly Girls. College Godly Gals began this past fall. The focus was on creating fellowship for young women seeking to know God more. Leaders Jill Costello and Micaela Pekarek say they have been humbled in seeing God’s hand build the group in such a short time. Each week the group meets for prayer, catch up time, and a study in God’s word. If you are a college student at any institution or online, you are welcome here.

Stop the Trafficking 5K is a collaborative, community-wide event to raise awareness about human trafficking. Our cities are personally affected by human trafficking including the sexual exploitation of children. The average age a child enters prostitution in the United States is 12–14 years old and at least 100,000 children are exploited every year within our borders. In 2003, the FBI identified Minneapolis as one of 13 cities with a large concentration of child prostitution enterprises.

Our goal through this 5k walk/run is to join together as a community, raise awareness and engage in the fight to Stop the Trafficking. All proceeds from the race will be designated towards organizations working to help sexually exploited youth in our surrounding communities.

Wonderstruck: Awake to the Nearness of God By Margaret Feinberg
Do you ever feel like you're going through the motions of faith? Sometimes we do and say the right things, but our hearts are far from God. We lose our sense of holy awe.  In Wonderstruck, Margaret Feinberg invites us to toss back the covers, climb out of bed, and drink in the fullness of life God intended. You will learn how to develop a renewed passion for God and identify what’s holding you back in prayer. Find extraordinary moments in ordinary days, recognize the presence of God in the midst of your routine and discover peace in knowing that you’re wildly loved. This 7-session Bible study will remind you what it means to awaken to wonder—every day! No childcare available for summer session.
