This school in Chitipa, Malawi, Africa, is desperate for more space for it’s 1,169 students who must attend class in 3 shifts. 5% (up to $500,000) of the money raised in the “Nothing Less Than Extraordinary” campaign will support facility construction projects benefitting schools, churches and World Relief in Malawi, Africa, one of the poorest countries on earth. We’ll continue our partnership with World Relief and draw on the third world construction expertise of MSAADA– a Christian based, not-for-profit, development organization based in Minneapolis. They have built more than 600 churches, schools and hospitals in 30 of the world’s poorest countries. Their partnership mission is “to mobilize and empower the church to serve the impoverished, displaced and needy through the love of Jesus Christ.”
$500,000 allows us to:
• expand the school in Chitipa
• construct 10 Village Centers
• build an office for World Relief in Lilongue
• build an office for World Relief in Chitipa
In the Village Centers trained field workers will minister to people in Chitipa’s dispersed villages using the effective HEART model that focuses on:
- Health
- Education
- Agriculture
- Relief
- Trade
These high quality, long-lasting structures will help churches in Malawi deepen their roots in Christ and increase their capacity to confront the realities of poverty, AIDS and disease as they serve people in the name of Jesus.
