God accepts and loves us unconditionally but He desires that we grow and develop Christ-like qualities in our lives and that we lead a life of obedience and connectedness to Him. He desires that because He knows it is the best way to live life and He always wants what is best for us.
But where do you begin to take steps to grow in your faith and character? Many times the growth process seems so overwhelming that it is hard to just get started. Spiritual growth is not always a linear process that involves sequential steps. In fact spiritual growth is mysterious and full of twists and turns. But we have the Holy Spirit who is our guide, our helper and our counselor. As we listen to Him, He guides us in the process of spiritual growth.
We have developed a "Seasons of Growth" diagram to help you indentify which season you are in in order to identify your next steps. Westwood classes and seminars are also organized around these seasons.
Connecting with God or reconnecting with Him. Learn to open your hands, receive all God wants to give you and make Jesus the center your life.
Increase your understanding of God’s heart and character. Scratch the surface with Bible basics or dig deeper into a book of the Bible. Explore spiritual practices and gather the tools to grow your faith for a lifetime.
Allow God to help you confront the wounds, losses, sins, bitterness and disappointments that entangle us. Receive God’s healing and restoration, as He refines your character.
Discover your God-given gifts and apply them to the needs around you. Share your gifts by giving them away.
Scattering seeds impacts the hurting, broken world with the message and ministry of the Gospel. Find your place reaching others with the love of Jesus by spreading God’s Kingdom.
