Our active duty military personnel so greatly appreciate knowing they are remembered, appreciated and prayed for. Westwood's Military Ministry seeks to develop and foster relationships between the Westwood congregation and military service personnel and their families. Our mission is for these relationships to offer encouragement, prayer and blessings to our soldiers while reaching them with the love of Jesus Christ.
Westwood is supporting servicemen and women in many creative ways. Here are some examples but the possibilties are endless!
- Sending children's artwork
- Handmade cards and letters of encouragement from church members and students
- Individual care packages to soldiers
- Purchasing girl scout cookies to send to soldiers
- Valentine's Day cards and other holiday cards
- Collecting Halloween candy and treats for the troops
- Donating and sending DVD movies for the troops
... and the list goes on!!
This ministry is a great way to serve and bring the love of Jesus Christ to our troops as an individual, family, bible study/small group, MOP's, boy/girl scout troop, children's preschool/childcare program or as a school classroom project.
