Adults 60+

Cornerstone provides opportunities for adults age 60+ to experience friendship, growth in their relationship with Christ and service in ministry to others.

Biblical Basis
Our relationships with each other are to reflect our relationship with God. Jesus modeled a shared life with others. He taught us that a distinguishing mark of His followers is to have a genuine love for one another, to enjoy each other, to serve together, to support each other, to pray for each other and to experience life together. One of the key strengths of this group is its depth of life experience. We wish to use those strengths to serve the church and those who need them most.

Goals
We seek to:

• Provide an environment that will foster relationship-building opportunities
• Utilize the resources within Westwood to provide spiritual enrichment and growth in Christ.
• Match the rich life experience of our people with the ministry priorities of the church, while building synergistic relationships within our team.

Service in Ministry
Service possibilities are continually being explored and considered.

Getting to Know Each Other
Large group gatherings are generally planned several times per year. This gives us an opportunity to meet new people and share some time together. Its always encouraging to see faces at church that you recognize as a result of these events.

Growing in Christ
Small group opportunities are available to deepen friendships with one another and to grow spiritually.
